Indications
A cold caused by wind and cold, with stiffness and pain in the neck and upper back chills without sweating
Contraindications
a cold caused by wind and heat sweating due to surface weakness ⚠️ contains ma-huang: as prescribed
Notes
Gui-zhi-tan, enhanced with Ge-gen and Ma-huang: specifically “relaxes” the neck and back muscles in cases of a cold accompanied by stiffness in the back of the neck. Preparation: Boil the ge-gen and ma-huang first, then add the rest.
